  Our client is a high-growth direct merchant of cosmetic products and vitamin supplements for its own proprietary brands selling through TV, Internet, radio, direct mail and magazines. The company is searching for a Sr. Controller reporting to the company’s Chief Financial Officer.
  
  Scope of Work:
  • Oversee accounting functions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Ensure timely, accurate and meaningful departmental financial reports as requested by department heads
  • Review current accounting procedures and controls, recommend improvements, and facilitate documentation.
  • Assist in managing communications with financial partners (Senior Debt, Media lines, Mezzanine Fund).
  • Manage accounting operations including order processing, merchant processors, processing gateways and accounting systems.
  • Provide financial reports to Lenders.
  • Ensure all legal reporting and compliance relating to accounting, treasury and finance functions.
  • Identify opportunities to increase profitability and facilitate implementation in various departments.
  • Make weekly cash flow disbursement recommendations.
  • Safeguard company assets
  • Establish controls and ensure GAAP compliance

  • Ensure financial controls and compliance.
  • Pass audits without issue.
  • Internal clients and subordinates are satisfied with interactions and information from finance and accounting
  • Ensure that integrity, respect and truth are present in all relationships.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of all financial requirements.
  • Successfully manage cash flow for the business.
  • Ensure no legal vulnerabilities regarding governmental reporting.
  • Ensure effectiveness and efficiency of marketing operations.
  
  
  Skills/Experience:
  • Hands on orientation.
  • Strong MS Excel Skills.
  • Good communications skills
  • Experience in setting up accounting systems & controls.
  • CPA Preferred.
  • Controller or CFO experience in the Direct Marketing Industry strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with lenders preferred.
  • Experience working mid-size companies $150 – $ 500 Million.
