Position: Database Developer / Analyst
The company is a high-growth direct merchant of cosmetic products and vitamin supplements for its own proprietary brands (including hydroxatone.com, urbanhealthsource.com, mydailydose.com) selling through TV, Internet, radio, direct mail and magazines. We are currently seeking a strong Database Developer/ Database Analyst with strong programming, organizational, and communication skills. Candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment.
Responsibilities include:
• Data modeling and database design
• Design and generate customized reports
• Write extremely fast and quality SQL code for Business Analysis Reporting
• Write complex analytical queries on very large data sets
• Develop reusable code according to established best practices and adopted standards
• Write technical documentation, assist with testing and maintenance
• Support employees, training, troubleshooting, quick queries for excel export
• Support MS SQL Reporting Services a plus
• MySQL administration (query optimization, experience with replication a big plus).
• Develop database Packages, Procedures, Triggers and Functions.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Language Requirements:
• MySQL
• Experience working in a Linux environment
Ideal candidate would have:
• 2 years+ experience developing in MySQL
• Database Analysis OR DBA experience
• Direct Marketing experience a plus
• Requires strong attention to detail and follow through.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, take on responsibility and work well under deadlines.
• Must be able to work independently, and have the tenacity to research and overcome problems.
